Funsie in a Onesie!

Learning SPACE is taking part in Cash for Kids ‘Funsie in a Onesie’ Day!

Every week in Northern Ireland, three children, teenagers or young adults are diagnosed with cancer.

Cash for Kids is supporting Cancer Fund for Children, who provide practical, financial and emotional support to families, so they don’t have to face cancer alone. So every pound you help to raise during ‘Funsie in a Onesie’ will make a big difference to the lives of local children living with cancer…

Recently, Daisy Lodge was officially opened by Cancer Fund for Children (with a helping hand from Rory McIlroy of course) which helps support families with therapeutic short breaks where they prepare for their next step in their cancer journey. As well as helping provide exhausted families with the chance to spend quality time together after many months spent in isolation or on the hospital ward.

Eoghan was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was 5 years old.  After his stay at Daisy Lodge, his mum Georgina said “I was a bit unsure about going on a short break at first because I thought it would be all ‘cancer talk’. But it was the opposite.  It was an escape for us.  It was like a sanctuary, a safe haven away from the gruelling routine of hospital visits and treatment.”

Help us to help them by spreading the word and making a small donation. Every pound you help to raise will make a big difference to these Children’s lives!
